After dropping Susan and kids off at Darwin airport for their flight home I collected Andrew Gockel and his dad and we set off on the approx 3500km trip home.
We left Darwin a bit after 1.30pm and pulled up stumps at Daly Waters (approx 550km south). The historic pub is a few km off the highway and a 'neighbour' from the farm near Kyogle - Chilli and his wife Cathy - are the resident entertainer / artist at the Daly Water pub during the winter months. Fantastic show. I thought I could talk under water but Chilli ..........

Day 2 saw us on the road before sunrise and nearly 1200km (12 hours) later we reached Cloncurry. Good trip on excellent roads.
